Wrap is a competition where we scout for young rap talent who will receive a cash prize, a label deal, and major media exposure. My brother Krystof and I took care of the visual identity—I focused on the branding while he handled the 3D visuals. The jury consists of the best in Czech rap, including Ego, Robin Zoot, Dollar Pryc, and Homer821.
We wanted to elevate next year’s Wrap to the next level. This time, it was mainly Krystof’s show—he created the visuals that we conceptualized together. The finals were held at the Roxy, and the prizes were prepared by Tobias Equipment. The grand prize was 500,000, and overall, the event was on a whole new level. Shoutout to Pedro and Jan Strach.
Our collaboration with Havana was wild. We had creative freedom from the start, though I had to stick to some boundaries because the headquarters in France were keeping an eye on us and didn’t fully understand what we were doing. The official collaboration on the Havana bottle materialized, and I got to design the label. I combined the Havana theme with The MAG’s colors and thought it would be cool to have our faces on the labels—so that’s exactly what we did. It became one of the most successful Havana collaborations, with thousands of bottles sent to different countries. Some even ended up stored right in Cuba at the Museum of Havana. I have endless memories from our The MAG trip to Cuba. Shoutout to Balaklava for the hand-drawn portraits.
